On occasion of World Refugee Day, Gruppo Abele, Associazione Mosaico-Azioni per i rifugiati and Job Film Days are organizing the screening of the movie “ Nyumba “ by Francesco del Grosso (Italy, 2025, 83′). The event will take place on June 16th , at 8.30 P.M. , at Gruppo Abele ‘s offices in Corso Trapani 91 b in Turin. 

Already presented at Job Film Days’ sixth edition in October 2025, Nyumba is a physical and emotional immersive experience, a total and all-encompassing travel journal, in the lives of five people forced to flee from their countries and put the past behind to be reborn elsewhere. In Steccato di Cutro, Calabria, in the night between February 25 th and 26 th , 2023, a caique boat departed from Turkey ran aground and shipwrecked, causing an onslaught of immigrants. On that beach, five young African men tell their stories, they arrived in Calabria from Gambia, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Somalia, and chose to stay, finding their new home (in Swahili “nyumba” means “home”).

The evening will feature Lucia Bianco , Gruppo Abele vice president, Berthin Nzosa , Mosaico – Azione per i rifugiati director, Paola Bottero , movie’s screenwriter, Annalisa Lantermo , Job Film Days director.
