Carlo Conversano, an expert in the field of “Media Digitization and Preservation” at Rai Teche, will present the techniques and tools used in the field of restoration, reflecting on the ethical implications that guide this work of preservation. A 12-minute video will be screened, produced by Rai Teche in collaboration with the Rai Production Center in Turin, documenting the restoration of Gustavo Dahl ‘s movie Uirà – Um índio em busca de Deus (1973), presented at the latest edition of the Il Cinema Ritrovato Festival. MASTERCLASS WITH WANG BING   Saturday, October 4th, at 5:00 p.m.; Cinema Massimo, Screen 3  Event in collaboration with Turin National Cinema Museum On Saturday, October 4th, at 5:00 p.m., in screen 3 of Cinema Massimo, in collaboration with Turin National Cinema Museum , there will be a masterclass with Chinese director Wang Bing , a master of contemporary documentary cinema, to explore his personal view of work, memory, and human dignity. In his trilogy Youth , consisting of Spring (2023), Hard Times (2024), and Homecoming (2024), the director rigorously recounts work, marginality, and historical memory. Specifically, Wang follows the workers of the Zhili textile laboratories. His cinema does not explain, but observes and questions, leaving room for the human element.
