About us

Job Film Days (JFD) is an international film festival dedicated to labor-related themes. Directed by Annalisa Lantermo, it is organized by the Job Film Days ETS Association, whose primary objective is to promote cultural initiatives that – through cinema – address the theme of labor, starting with respect for rights, legality, equal opportunity, and health and safety in the workplace.

The Festival aims to:

• Raise awareness of current international cinema on the world of work.
• Engage filmmakers and other professionals who have contributed to the creation of the films.
• Combine screenings with debates and discussions, which enrich the dialogue and shed light on realities that are not always well known.
• Present historical films, preferably Italian and recently restored, on labor-related themes.
• Draw attention to work in the film industry.
• Develop a network of partners to foster connections between the world of work and the world of cinema through the expressive power of cinematic language.
• Engage young people in the enjoyment of audiovisual content and movie theaters, including as an educational tool.
• To engage a broad audience through screenings in outlying areas of the city and outside traditional movie theaters.

The seventh edition of Job Film Days, October 6 – 11, 2026, offers the public six days of screenings organized into competitive and non-competitive sections, special events, meetings, and debates.

In collaboration with the Festival, the Job Film Days Association is also organizing the “From Idea to Screenplay” writing workshop in 2026, aimed at videomakers and creatives under 35 to write screenplays on the theme of work.

The event is made possible thanks to the invaluable collaboration of the National Museum of Cinema. It also benefits from the collaboration of a dense network of local, national, and international institutions and associations.
