A muleteer and more than one thousand sheep cross mountains and rivers to reach the heart of the Andes. Once at the top, in a a small flooded valley, the muleteer feels the loneliness and the passage of time marked only by daily tasks. Gradually he begins to get lost in the mountains as his dreams appear to him as ghosts. The 16mm poetic portrait of a lone worker that takes reference from westerns and silent films.

Diego Acosta Hernández (Machalí, Chile, 1990) works at the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile. Diego Acosta Hernández has directed Huaso Chileno (2015), which had its international premiere at the Clermont-Ferrand Short Film Festival, and Ñachi (2019); Al amparo del cielo (2021) is his first documentary feature film.
