In Novi Sad, in Serbia, a group of construction workers works on completing a building in a climate of illegality and corruption. The six men have no legal protections. The foreman acts as an intermediary with the investors. Lidija and Miki manage the construction company, but the woman’s behavior, initially detached, slowly turns into solidarity with the workers. Until the liberatory finale where drama meets black comedy.

Milos Pusic was born in Senta, Serbia (1980). He made his debut with the short film Lullaby for a Boy, presented in numerous festivals around the world; he made his first feature film Autumn in My Street and subsequently he directed Withering (2013). Working Class Heroes, presented at the Berlinale, is Milos Pusic’s third feature film.
