Six artisans craft handmade products starting from raw materials: soil, wood, glass, stone. They change these materials and shape them through the power of natural elements: water, fire, air. Two alabaster artisans from Volterra, a young luthier from Naples, a Senegalese boy learning to master glassmaking in Murano and a shipwright from Venice. Working brings them to observe the way the world is changing, with workshops closures, mass production and the end of passing knowledge. Everything sums up to a fleeting and symbolic work created with pruned wood in the small town of Novoli, in Salento, every year for centuries. A metaphor of the myth of Sisyphus, and the boulder that, in spite of everything, gets rolled up the hill.
