Pre-opening Job Film Days 2024 in collaboration with Cinema Teatro Monterosa, Festival de Cine de Lima and Cinetrab.
Job Film Days presents Friday, September 27 at 9 pm, at the Monterosa Cinema Theater, a new partner of the Festival, the film Kinra by Peruvian director, screenwriter and cinematographer Marko Panatonik (Peru, 2023, 157′). An event that will lead us to reflect on the renunciations one is forced to make in order to work, sometimes involving important spheres of life such as one’s family and roots. The collaboration with the Cinema Teatro Monterosa adds an important piece to the geography of Job Film Days, bringing the Festival to one of the historic theaters in northern Turin, a garrison for the cultural life of the area and an example of how cinema can be community. The film was screened at the Festival de Cine de Lima, garnering numerous awards, including best first feature and the ILO-Cinetrab award for best fiction film on the themes of the right to work.

Months later, Atoqcha and his sister visit their mother’s grave, buried in the same house. They take different routes, but Atoqcha would like to stay although there are many things to be solved. The protagonist is suspended between two worlds, the mountains and Cusco, and is looking for a place to live and work, having studied civil engineering.
