On Tuesday, September 30th, at 10:00 a.m., in collaboration with Rai Teche , Job Film Days hosts an educational meeting for secondary school students, dedicated to the restoration of audiovisual films from the RAI Archive. Carlo Conversano, an expert in the field of “Media Digitization and Preservation” at Rai Teche, will present the techniques and tools used in the field of restoration, reflecting on the ethical implications that guide this work of preservation. A 12-minute video will be screened, produced by Rai Teche in collaboration with the Rai Production Center in Turin, documenting the restoration of Gustavo Dahl ‘s movie Uirà – Um índio em busca de Deus (1973), presented at the latest edition of the Il Cinema Ritrovato Festival. A unique opportunity to discover the value and complexity of preserving the Rai Archive, one of the largest in the whole world.
