This year, Job Film Days, the international film festival dedicated to the world of labour and workers’ rights, opens a new path for documentaries in partnership with ZaLab View, the streaming platform dedicated to the Cinema of the Real. The platform www.zalabview.org features a special selection to discover seven works by young Italian directors: made between 2020 and 2023, these documentaries portray the different hopes and challenges that come along with working.

The selection includes the following titles: Fuori tutto/Everything must go by Gianluca Matarrese (Italy, 2019); Il pane a vita by Stefano Collizzolli (Italy, 2011); Qui non c’è niente di speciale/There is nothing special here by Davide Crudetti (Italy, 2022); Tutti i nostri affanni/All our worries by Davide Crudetti and Paola Di Mitri (Italy, 2021); Pietro by Daniele Gaglianone (Italy, 2010); Per un figlio by Suranga Deshapriya Katugampala (Italy, 2017); Oltreoceano by Virginia Paganelli (Italy, 2022).

Within the collaboration with Job Film Days, ZaLab will bestow a Special Award to the best documentary presented in the “Job 2025” competition during the forthcoming edition of the Festival (from 30^th September to 5^th October).

Applications for the “Job 2025” and “Job for the Future 2025” contests are still open! “Job 2025” has been created by the Festival in partnership with the National Institute for Insurance against Workplace Accidents (INAIL) Regional Directorate of Piedmont, and it is reserved to fiction documentaries and feature films. On the other hand, “Job for the Future 2025” has been announced by Job Film Days in partnership with the Torino Chamber of Commerce, and it is dedicated to short films.
