Kerl, a subway driver with a distinctive hair color, is chosen unexpectedly as the face for an advertisement campaign for public transport. As an invisible yet essential worker, Kerl suddenly finds himself thrust into the spotlight, forced to confront the contradictions between how he sees himself and how others perceive him.

Maximilian Karakatsanis. Born in Germany in 1994, Maximilian Karakatsanis attended the Kunsthochschule für Medien Köln and produced both feature films and documentaries in addition to radio dramas and poems. His short films have been selected and awarded be international film festivals such as Slamdance, Premiers Plans d’Angers, Thessaloniki, Doclisboa, Reykjavík, Oberhausen, SFF Hamburg, Duisburger Filmwoche and FF Max Ophüls Preis.
