Through the stories of two children, one occupied in a brick kiln while the other in a mechanical workshop, Dreams in Dust exposes the dramatic world of child labor in Pakistan. A heartbreaking portrait of childhoods stripped of play and handed over to daily grinds.

Muhammad Mehdi (Pakistan, 2007) is a young Pakistani director, video maker and editor who works between Pakistan and the UK. Grown up between two cultures, he brings a visual language into his works that intertwines realism and poetry. His works tackle urgent social themes, giving back both voice and dignity to those who don’t have them.
