Twenty-seven-year-old Min-joon transports packages climbing endless stairs every day, facing a world consumed by constant anxiety: missile alarms, pollution, news from a pre-apocalyptic world. Exhausted and alone, he collapses exhausted inside his van, just as dawn arrives. Family life is no better: alcoholic parents, a scared disabled brother and the weight of constant life discomfort, which contrasts violently with his dream to become a filmmaker. Just as Min-joon’s life seems close to a breaking point, a mysterious astrologist appears on the street and tells him: «Trust me and follow your halo». It looks like a little flame of hope, which the young man clings to trying to make a fresh start and put his life back on track. 

Roh Young-wan. Born in Busam in 1989, Roh Young-wan studied acting at university and spent a decade as an actor or a producer in independent cinema. Absolut self-taught, his debut film as director was Halo, a social drama about marginalization, which won the Best Film Award in the Asian Future section of Tokyo International Film Festival.
