Once again this year, Job Film Days participated in the European Week for Safety and Health at Work, organized in Asti as part of the Asti SI’CURA event, promoted by the Prefecture of Asti under the auspices of the Provincial Observatory for Monitoring Workplace Accidents and Worker Safety.
On Thursday, October 23, at 9:00 a.m., in the Sala Pastrone of the Vittorio Alfieri Theater, located at Via Teatro Alfieri 2, a screening was held of the film SHE by director Parsifal Reparato (Italy, France, Vietnam, 2025, 75 min.), which was presented at the seventh edition of the Job Film Days festival (Turin, October 6 – 11, 2026).
Part documentary, part reenactment, the film depicts the working conditions of Vietnamese female workers employed at a factory in an electronics industrial park – one of the largest in the world. Twelve-hour shifts, exploitation, and pervasive surveillance. It is a collective portrait, told through images and voices, of those who, despite everything, never lose hope.
The event, aimed at union leaders, RSU representatives, RLS representatives from the region, and students from several schools in Asti, was organized by CGIL-CISL-UIL Asti in collaboration with Job Film Days.
The film screening was followed by a Q&A with the director, who joined via video link, and a discussion with local representatives of CGIL, CISL, and UIL – Beppe Morabito, Salvatore Pafundi, and Silvano Uppo, respectively – and Annalisa Lantermo, director of the Job Film Days festival. Elisa Ferrando, a journalist for La Nuova Provincia, moderated the discussion.
