MASTERCLASS WITH WANG BING

On Saturday, October 4th, at 5:00 p.m., in screen 3 of Cinema Massimo, in collaboration with Turin National Cinema Museum , there will be a masterclass with Chinese director Wang Bing , a master of contemporary documentary cinema, to explore his personal view of work, memory, and human dignity. In his trilogy Youth , consisting of Spring (2023), Hard Times (2024), and Homecoming (2024), the director rigorously recounts work, marginality, and historical memory. Specifically, Wang follows the workers of the Zhili textile laboratories. His cinema does not explain, but observes and questions, leaving room for the human element. A powerful lesson on time, listening, and the resistance of images.
