At the Niguarda public hospital in Milan, Doctor Maurizio Bini has an unconventional mission: transforming lives through fertility and gender affirmation. Balancing the dreams of aspiring parents with the paths of those wanting a reconciliation with their gender identity, he creates a welcoming space made of self-determination, where humor often lightens even the most difficult moments. In a political context that challenges medical ethics, Bini challenges the boundaries of society to give hope, humanity and care. With his medical practices, he reflects on the purpose of medicine: not just healing the body but affirming every human being’s dignity and value.
