After a long, arduous migration journey, Moussa, a young man from Guinea, finds a home in Rita’s farmhouse. Rita, a farmer living in South Tyrol, runs the farmhouse with rigid principles while also opening her heart to people in need. Moussa wanted to be an imam, but now he is happy with his job. He spends his days in the field with the farm animals, a daily grind. He treats Rita like a mother. On his nights off he hangs out with his African friends in town. When he starts a new job in another city, he keeps in touch with Rita. Among daily gestures, faith and hardships, the movie explores the sense of belonging and the need for a family. Distant in place of origin but close in desires, Moussa and Rita look for a new harmony together.

Andrea Costa (Milan), naturalized South Tyrolean, has explored the tension among belonging, change and tradition in his works, narrating the deep bond between people and their territory. Along with Verena Ranzi, Costa has founded TaktFilm: set in Bolzano, the production house has been creating documentaries, portrait videos, interviews and campaigns for brands and institutions for a decade, with the aim of voicing the stories of the region through cinematic language.
