On Thursday 1 October at 6.45 p.m., Job Film Days, in collaboration with Ordine dei Giornalisti del Piemonte and Ramo d’Oro, opens the photography exhibition Uno scatto per raccontare il lavoro. Photographs by Simona Carnino, Max Ferrero, Michele D’Ottavio, Lorenzo Goisis, Giò Palazzo, Mauro Raffini, Alessandro Rocca, Stefano Rogliatti, Roberto Sias and Mauro Ujetto. A visual narrative told through multiple voices, highlighting photojournalism’s role as a witness to the present and a means of reflecting on rights and the changing world of work.
For the first time, photojournalists from Piedmont with different backgrounds and sensibilities come together in an exhibition that combines the invaluable work of photojournalism with its vocation as an attentive witness to the present. Places, professions, men and women. Work that is missing, and work that offers a chance for a fresh start. Work as fulfilment, exploration and the beauty of a craft. Places that speak of a vanished industrial world, still powerfully present in the city’s imagination. Of toil and investment. Each image contains a web of individual stories revolving around one of the key words of our time: work.
The exhibition is introduced by Paolo Siccardi (journalist and photographer).
Admission: free.
